Atholl Adult Rugby Club - Tip Top Turnout
On Saturday 3 February this newly formed rugby club, based in the heart of Highland Perthshire, had its first training session at the Recreation Ground in Pitlochry.
Thirty-one players turned up full of enthusiasm and commitment and were put through their paces for 90 minutes by head coach Murray Trail and backs coach Alan Glen.
The multi-national squad is made up of Kiwi, Aussie, Scottish, Welsh, Irish & English players all keen to have a permanent and sustainable rugby presence in the “Heartland” of Scotland. |

Their next training session will be on Saturday 10 February at 11.00am on the Recreation Ground, Pitlochry, followed by refreshments at McNabs Bar where they will be screening the England vs. Italy and Scotland vs. Wales matches. The following session will be on 17 Febraury.
Weekly indoor circuit training will start at Pitlochry High School on Monday 12 February - 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
