Breadies' Thirdtime 20/20 Final
Perthshire Cup 20/20 Final Group Stage Match
Breadalbane CC vs Glendelvine CC Tuesday 31 July

Breadalbane had already booked a finals place in the Perthshire Cup but were in no mood to allow local rivals Glendelvine any quarter.
The Breadalbane innings was opened by Bax Sr, (James) and one of the next generation of the Bax clan, Myles. The right and left hand combination produced 49 before James lost his wicket for a fiery 40 runs.
In the quest for quick runs The Breadies sacrificed a few wickets resulting in a third member of the Bax dynasty coming to the crease. In just 10 overs Laurence Bax smashed an undefeated 68 runs taking Breadalbane to a formidable 149 for 7, - 117 of the team’s total runs coming from the flailing bats of the Bax family.

Glendelvine started the run chase briskly. Veteran Sandy Baird led the way before being clean bowled by the in form Chris Eyes. Neil Wimberley struck 25 before he, also, was cleaned up by Eyes.
Glendelvine obviously hadn’t been eating their carrots as batsman after batsman returned to a pavilion shrouded in the nights gloom complaining about the poor light The match ultimately finished in almost pitch darkness at 9.15pm. The ever-improving youngster Jo Grace returned a career best of 3 for 8 and was the pick of the Breadalbane bowlers.
Breadalbane will now go on to contest the final of the competition for the third time in recent years. Unsuccessful so far, will it be 3rd time lucky for the Breadies?
